A pair of prospects from HBCU schools have been selected to play in this year’s NFLPA Game in San Antonio, Texas.

Fort Valley State speedy wide receiver Ricardo Lockette, who has been timed at 4.35 in the 40-yard dash, and Alabama A&M defensive tackle Frank Kearse were both selected after scouts for the NFLPA Game attended the December HBCU all-star game in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We want to thank the staff from the NFLPA Game for coming down for the HBCU Bowl week and inviting two standouts from our game in Ricardo Lockette and Frank Kearse to participate in their game”, explained Taber Small, the Executive Director of Player Personnel for HBCU Bowl.

The two sides have agreed that starting with Lockette and Kearse that each year at least one top-rated prospect from the HBCU Bowl game will receive the opportunity to then take his skills to the NFLPA Game.
